Three Stage Systems
Sweep Type
HSS secondary and tertiary sweep samplers are integrated into our sample conveyors. Producing samplers in this manner is a cost effective and space saving means of sampling.
Since these samplers are integrated into the sample conveyor, a reliable and repeatable sample can be taken.
As with the primary sweep-type samplers, the secondary and tertiary sweep samplers are driven by gear-reducer / brake motor units with quick and repeatable stopping action. Secondary and tertiary samplers are also available to take samples by rotating both directions.
These samplers are available on all HSS sample feeders, with a variety of sample cutter widths.
Traveling Hopper Type
This type of secondary or tertiary sampling is a falling stream type of sampler. Sample material continuously passes through the internal hopper portion of the sampler.
Sample is collected when the hopper traverses across a cutter opening, allowing sample to fall into a sample collection device.
Drives for this type of sampler may be a rack and pinion system driven by a gearmotor or some type of linear actuator such as a hydraulic cylinder
